The British Hedgehog Preservation Society and Vale Wildlife Hospital are pleased to announce our ‘What’s under the microscope?’- Basic Microscopy Course taking place at The Vale Wildlife Hospital near Tewkesbury (GL20 7AN)

 The course content will include:

  • Course objectives
  • Microscope anatomy
  • Familiarisation exercises
  • Introducing parasites
  • Rationale – why do we analyse hedgehog stools?
  • Faecal collection and microscope techniques
  • Preparing slides
  • Practical Afternoon

The course runs from 9am (8.30am registration) until around 4.30-5pm and must be booked and paid for through the BHPS by phone.

The course costs £70 per person, but if you have been on the BHPS rehabilitator directory for at least one year, we will subsidise the cost by 50%, meaning we will pay £35 towards your space and it will cost you just £35!


You will need to bring your own lunch, but hot drinks will be available.
